5 Methods to Boost Your Immunity During COVID-20/19 Pandemic!

Globally, people are experiencing a higher risk of COVID 19 Virus. The fear of this Virus is more than a war or any Missile attack. The people across the world are going through the lockdown to save their lives. This has introduced a “New Normal” which people are still learning and implementing in their daily lives.

Whether it is a workplace, educational institute, or staying at home, personal hygiene is the first thing to care about. But, apart from the hygiene care, we need to think about boosting our immunity also. By maintaining good health and immunity we can fight against this pandemic.

Here is a list of 5 methods that can help you to increase your immunity:

  • Keep yourself hydrated:

Drinking plenty of water keeps you hydrated and helps in removing any toxins from your body. Follow a practice of drinking 8-10 glasses of water every day to keep you hydrated. This can lower the chances of getting affected by the flu.

Also, consuming coconut water and Vitamin C juices can help you in boosting your immunity.

  • Focus on your diet:

A good diet is an important aspect of determining immunity and overall health. Cut down the carbs from your diet as this will help in controlling high blood sugar and pressure.

A regular intake of vegetables and fruits rich in Beta carotene, Ascorbic acid & other essential vitamins can help you keep in good shape.

Foods like mushrooms, tomato, bell pepper, and green vegetables like broccoli, spinach must be added to your diet as they resist the body against infections. Several herbs like Garlic, Basel leaves and Black Cumin helps in boosting immunity.

  • Take full sleep:

The simplest way of boosting your immunity is by having 7-8hours of sleep. The lack of sleep can make you feel tired and slow down your brain activity. The lesser sleep can impair other bodily functions and will make a direct impact on your immunity.

  • Regular Exercise:

Never skip your exercise routine as it improves metabolism which is directly related to body immunity. Health experts recommend that a daily exercise of 35-40mins can help in releasing the toxins from your body. It is not necessary to target the heavy workout; light exercise can also help you in flushing out the toxins.

  • Stay away from Stress:

The mental well-being has been affected after spending a prolonged period at indoors. This has led to anxiety among the millions all over the globe. Stress always has an adverse impact on immunity. Therefore, it is necessary to follow some daily practices which can help you in reducing the stress level.

Taking too much stress can make your body susceptible to infections as stress releases cortisol hormone which affects your response to the outer surroundings. It is recommended to calm your nerves by going through a meditation. Several health channels on the internet can help you in doing this.

Let us adapt to the new normal and healthier lifestyle by following the above healthful practices. (TectUs Blog)
