6 Quarantine Beauty Tips for Your Face and Hair!

Beauty Routine is something that nobody wants to compromise. But due to the present situation, it has become difficult to go out. The spread of the Corona Virus has affected the lifestyle too and self-isolation has become a necessary thing now.

At the same time, most of the people are working from home, conducting the business meets through video conference calls and it is equally important to look good and presentable.

So, we cannot stop maintaining our beauty routine. There are several ways to take care of our skin and hair that we can do without the help of a hairdresser or beautician.

Here are the top 6 beauty tips that are useful in quarantine for Skin and Hair.

Face Fixes:

  • Wash Your Face:

It is important to look good even without makeup. Hence, it is required to put some effort into the skincare regimen. Wash your face at least two times a day. Make sure to wash your face after waking up in the morning and before going to bed at night.

Take care of your face by applying a good moisturizer right after taking a shower. The skin around your eyes needs some extra efforts to take care of. So apply it gently around your eyes.

  • Steam Your Face:

Do not forget to steam your face as this will open up the pores on your skin and bring out the dirt or any residue that was lying on the skin surface. You can do this if you have a steamer at home and if not you can use the boiling water and a towel.

  • Prepare a Face mask:

You know your skin type well and the things that suit your face. So, prepare a face mask accordingly. Choose the ingredients based on your skin type.

If you want to hydrate your skin, just take half an avocado, half a banana, and some honey, mash the three ingredients together and simply apply to your skin. This mask will hydrate and nourish your skin as they contain great vitamins and antioxidants.

Hair Fixes:

  • Wash your hair:

Washing your hair is nothing new than what you were doing before the lockdown. But, it makes a huge difference when you do it in a rush to reach early at the office and doing it properly with enough time at home.

Choose a shampoo that suits you well based on your scalp type and keep them clean so that they do not smell bad. Let them go Air-Dry without using Hair-Dryer. Try to avoid heat styling tools to prevent them from damage. Explore new hairstyles which you were thinking for a long time to implement. Go with a braided or bun style and that will still make you look beautiful.

  • Condition your hair:

Take the benefit of being at home. Do not use the packed or bottled stuff for conditioning your hair. Instead, go with a natural conditioner which you make it yourself.

Here is the easiest way to make it:

Take one tablespoon of coconut oil, one tablespoon honey, one tablespoon lemon juice, two tablespoons of curd, and one teaspoon of rose water. Mix all the ingredients well and apply them to your shampooed hair. Leave it for about 10-15 minutes and rinse off with running water.

Coconut oil helps your hair to become smooth and soft and also helps to grow longer and thicker.

  • Trim your hair:

Now during this time, you cannot call your hairdresser at home. Also, visiting your salon is not good. But, not to worry as you can do this yourself. Just identify when you need a trim.

If your hair tangles easily even after doing shampoo and conditioner then you need a trim. Take scissors that you are not using for your kitchen or craft activities. So, use the good hair cut tools like detangling brush, a comb, hair clips, and cutting shears.

Wash your hair before you trim as it should be done on freshly cleansed hair. Do not apply any extra product and detangle with a good brush before trimming your hair. Go for a mild trim with your scissors held vertically and lighten the mass of your hair. This will help you to get rid of split ends too.

So, these are the small and easy tricks that can help you to stay beautiful during the quarantine period. (Tectus Blog)
